A piano trial lesson is a short introductory lesson, free cost, to experience playing the piano and learn if Mr. Hanspeter as a teacher is the right fit for you, before committing to full enrollment. During a trial lesson, you can expect to meet the instructor, get a basic skills assessment, learn fundamental concepts like keyboard layout and basic posture, and experience the teaching style to determine compatibility. We offer these trial sessions to help you decide on the right music education path.

If you’ve had piano lessons before, bring all the music books with you so it’s easier to assess your competency level. If you are a beginner, it is an advantage if you have a piano or keyboard at home. If you don’t have one, we’ll be happy to advise you on a suitable instrument.

Anyone can attend a trial lesson, regardless of age. However, the minimum age for piano lessons is generally 6. Nevertheless, we are happy to consider whether an earlier age might be appropriate. We currently have 2 students who are 4 years old.
